Here you will learn how to apply a squash-fold in origami.

A squash-fold consists of one valley-fold, one mountain-fold, and one flat-fold.

1. Here we start with a square base here but we could also start with a balloon base instead.

2. Let's apply a squash-fold consisting of a valley-fold, a mountain-fold, and a flat-fold.

3. At first, prepare to apply a valley-fold and then unfold.

4. Prepare to apply a vertical valley-fold.

5. Prepare to apply a valley-fold and then unfold.

6. Prepare to apply a 90° valley-fold.

7. Prepare to open two layer following the arrow directions while pressing it down.

8. Congratulation! You have completed applying a squash-fold.
