This page is for those who want the instruction to make a modular square origami spring.

 

This modular square origami spring makes use of a simple square origami spring as a module. So you will need more than one square paper. One special folding technique that you need to learn for this model is pocket-fold.

 

Before working on this model, you need to know what valley-fold and mountain-fold are. If you know these two folding techniques, then you will have no problem in making an origami spring.

You may use any kind of paper to fold the origami spring. But if you want to use this cup for drinking water, it would be better to use a waterproof paper. Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 15cm x 15cm square one.

Since we are making a modular origami model, we need more than one sheet of square paper.

 

Here I make use of two sheets of square paper but you can have more than two.
